For all the Dutch digital tv viewers, you can watch 'Little Quentin' tomorrow on Cultura24 @ 20:09 in a line-up of il Luster animated short films. The program also includes the excellent films 'Bricks' & 'Twijfellied' by Frodo Kuipers and 'Vent' by Erik van Schaaik.

The epic stories of the three Yogis have come to an end, but we continue to create animated short stories for the new season of tv talkshow Chatney by Hindu network OHM. This season will feature different characters, including some Hindu gods; watch the first 2 episodes here:

Yogi extravaganza

The past 5 months we did some more short stories featuring the 3 Yogis. Casa Luna

Last night we were interviewed live on Dutch Radio 1 show 'Casa Luna'.

Epic Tales: sneak peek

The past months we've been very busy creating tons of animations & backgroundart for the soon to be released iPad app 'Epic Tales', developer and publisher of interactive storybooks for the iPad. The first story is the fairytale of Hansel and Gretel and is told by the dwarf Silvertongue. Here's a little preview of what's to come:

Little Quentin wins ‘Gouwuh Règâh’

Yesterday at the Shoot Me film & music festival our film 'Little Quentin' won the Gouwuh Règâh / the Golden Heron award!
(The heron is the weapon of the city The Hague)

Sinterklaas is coming to town

Yesterday we received the great news that the Netherlands Film Fund has granted us & our producers at il Luster films financial support for our first animated featurefilm 'Trippel Trappel'.
This means a lot not only for us as a studio, but it's a great deal for the Dutch animation industry as well. We want to thank the Film Fund and everyone who has been involved in some way in developing the film to this point:
Michiel, Arnoud & Chris from il Luster of course.
Ronald and Jeroen from Bob Kommer sound studios.
And of course all the collegues and interns who contributed to the project so far. A big digital round of applause for:

Wiz Art Trophy

We just received this beautiful Wiz Art Trophy in the mail :)

Little Quentin wins Wiz-Art Grandprix

Our film "Little Quentin" won the Grand Prix on the IV International Short Film Festival Wiz-Art in Lviv, Ukraine! This is what the jury had to say about our little cartoon noir:
"This film impressed us with its light and fearless storytelling, with its characters and its humor. In a strange world we become partners in crime and go along with the plot to a surprising twists with unseen horrors." A big thanks to the jury and organization of Wiz-Art!

Dyflexis

We made a short animated video for Dyflexis, a company that develops online software for personnel planning. The video explains in 1 minute how the company works:
